L to R: Octavia Caldwell, President of WBO-PGC presents a certificate of recognition to Sharon Burton, CEO of The Artinista Art Advisory at their annual conference on May 15, 2012
After less than a year since it opened, the Artinista Art Advisory is garnering local recognition for excellence. The boutique art advisory was one of two women-owned, small businesses based in Prince George’s County, Maryland to receive a small business grant from the Women Business Owner’s of Prince George’s County. Artinista Art Advisory was recognized for the grant at the WBO-PGC annual “It’s All About Me” Women’s Business and Wellness Conference that was held May 15, 2012 at the University of Maryland’s Marriott Inn and Conference Center in College Park, Maryland.
The grant award is given to WBO-PGC members that have demonstrated promise for business excellence as a result of a competitive application process. Grantees are required to present a program proposal for WBO-PGC and attend professional development workshops during the organization’s fiscal year before receiving the grant. The Artinista Art Advisory, a member of WBO-PGC, was initially notified of the grant award selection in October 2011.
